Several initiatives are supported by the FTNS in the field of ecotourism, community initiatives and basic social infrastructure in order to generate income and contribute to improving the living conditions of local populations. In terms of ecotourism, the FTNS has contributed to:
- The implementation of the Primate Habituation Program (PHP);
- The construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure in the parks’ tourist sites (Djembe, Camp Kombo, Doli Lodge...);
- The construction and rehabilitation of wildlife viewing stands;
- The training of tourist guides and local operators with the additional provision of working materials;
- The production of materials describing the TNS' ecotourism sites and potential precisely in national parks;
- The carrying out of a study on the development of tourism activity.
